4-Day Ride & Hike

A NEW overnight trip for the Rider and Outdoor enthusiast!

This four day and three-night excursion is for those who like to be active in the mountains and love to ride horses as well. Combining some of the most scenic trail riding in Colorado with breathtaking hikes and gourmet cuisine, this trip is sure to satisfy both hobbies!

Beginning at the Colorow Creek/Stag Gulch trailhead in Edwards, CO, you and your matched horse will embark on an adventure through National Forest and Wilderness Areas. While you don’t need to be an expert horse rider, we will be in the “backcountry” and these trails do have some sections that are not for those who have never ridden or are nervous with horses.

There will be some long stretches of riding the first 2 days followed by 2 days that allow more time to hike and stretch your legs. Days 1-2 will be primarily riding with options to hike around the 10th Mountain Division Huts where we will be lodging in the evenings.

Day 3 will consist of a morning hike followed by a ride to the Yolande Placer Cabins in Meredith, CO. The cabins are right outside the beautiful Reudi Reservoir in Basalt, CO. Your last evening will be spent enjoying these humble cabins and the Frying Pan River which runs through the site. This serene setting provides the perfect opportunity to soak in one of Colorado’s most beautiful rivers.

Our final day in the mountains will include a longer hike that is a bit more challenging. Your extra effort will be rewarded with the breathtaking views of the Maroon Bells, Elk Range and Saw Mill Park, just to name a few of the highlights!

A gourmet, award-winning chef will be traveling with us throughout the trip and will provide exquisite mountain cuisine for your dining pleasure.
